Trent Agecoutay is a musician’s musician who literally sings for his supper. His toe-tapping, coun- try-roots style is easy on the ears. Matched with his easy going nature and comedic timing that has kept audiences entertained for over 20 years. Trent has a natural way of making folks feel invited to let go and have some fun. Whether on bass, guitars, drums or taking the lead, he’s as solid as they come.
Trent started his career performing with his father’s band ‘Duster,’ recording 2 albums which received nominations at the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards, Native American Music Awards & Central Alberta Turtle Award for contribution to the artist community for both Duster and himself. Trent’s first solo album, ‘I Don’t Regret a Thing (2014),’ received the Best Country Recording Award at the 2015 Indian Summer Music Awards. Trent”s newly released album “Now...and Then” has received airplay on Indigenous radio across Canada as well as nominations at the 2019 Indigenous Music Awards, The 2018 Indian summer Music Awards as well as the 2018 Native American Music Awards. Trent just released a band new album May 1st and it has already appeared on the !Earshot National Folk/Roots/Blues chart.
